WHAT: Women’s Foundation – Fall in Fashion – Event volunteers needed.
WHEN: Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, event runs from 12 PM – 3 PM. Opportunities for shorter shifts when requested.
WHERE: Admiral Room – 237 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203
WHY: The Women’s Foundation’s goal is to “create a culture of possibility so each woman and girl to live, grown, and lead to her fullest potential.” While this is a daytime volunteer event, if you have any “use it or lose” vacation/paid time off as you near year end, this would be a great way to spend a little time benefiting the community and then taking the remainder of the day for a little self-care, holiday shopping, or even making some early holiday cookies or meals to stash in the freezer for later.
DRESS: On the dressier side – this a fashion event, business/work appropriate attire.
VOLUNTEER DUTIES: Tasks could include helping assemble swag bags, acting as greeters, staffing the registration table, selling raffle & wine pull tickets, and assisting with the silent auction.
OTHER NOTES: water, coffee, and light snacks will be provided.

Volunteers Needed for Compass House’s Big Hat & Tacky Tie Themed Event: November 8, 2018 at Templeton Landing.
Please join the DIIAD Committee! A total of 10 volunteers are needed for the entirety of the event and a bit of time afterwards (5:00 pm – 10:00pm). We are most in need of people to help with closing down our silent auction and then identifying winning bids, alerting winners, and serving as runners to deliver auction items once paid for.
WHAT: Dinner with Compass House: A Big Hat & Tacky Tie Themed Event!
WHEN: Friday, November 8, 2019 (event runs from 6 PM – 9 PM, but we’ll need assistance before and after the event).

DUTIES: Looking for 4-5 volunteers to assist with check in, raffle sales, wine pulls, basket runners, and traffic control.
DRESS: JLB gear or a big hat or tacky tie!
WHAT: Hearts for the Homeless Mobile Soup Kitchen
WHEN: Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 5PM
WHERE: 890 Tonawanda St, Buffalo, NY 14207
WHY: 5 nights a week, 52 weeks of the year, clients line up to receive a hot meal, sandwiches, drink, and dessert from the Mobile Soup Kitchen. Hearts for the Homeless serves over 12,000 poor and homeless people every year, ensuring community members in need can dine with dignity. DRESS: Casual and weather appropriate, as most of the volunteer time will be spent outside.
VOLUNTEER DUTIES: Prepare meals in Hearts for the Homeless kitchen and then travel downtown in either your own vehicle or the Mobile Kitchen to distribute food to those in need.

DUTIES: Looking for 10 volunteers to assist with registration and activity stations (cookie decorating, letters to Santa, etc), and traffic control.
