Dear Prospective Participant,
The Junior League of Buffalo and The Buffalo News are delighted to present the 19th Decorators’ Show House! The Historic August Feine House, located at 766 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, New York, will be open to the general public to view from Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, May 21, 2017. The House is a beautiful example of the Second Empire Style built in 1892 for an ironworks artisan.
Since 1981, Decorators’ Show House has raised a total of $3.975 million for projects benefiting our community. We are extremely proud that this fundraiser has grown to this magnitude. The longevity of Decorators’ Show House can be attributed to the numerous volunteers, business and community collaborations, as well as the thousands of people who have passed through the doors to experience first-hand the incredible transformations. A key component to the success of Decorators’ Show House is the area’s finest designers, decorators, artists, and landscapers coming together to support a project that ultimately benefits so many organizations in the Western New York community.
We cordially invite you to join us on Bidding Day, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During those times you can tour The August Feine House to learn more about participation opportunities. Being a part of the 2017 Decorators’ Show House is a great way to promote your business and make a lasting impression for years to come. Many decorators who have participated in past Show Houses have had great success increasing their customer base with over 20,000 people who tour the house and use the Show House program for future reference.
Some benefits to designers participating include: Local and regional media promotion; full page room description and designer profile in the Show House program, with over 20,000 copies printed; local television coverage; Show House postings on social media sites and community calendars; a Show House tab on the Junior League of Buffalo website (www.jlbuffalo.org), providing extensive Show House information, designer profiles, and a link to your company’s website; participation in the Decorators’ Sales Program; opportunity to promote one’s business during Show House with marketing materials; and two tickets to the Garden Party per decorated space the night prior to the public opening.
We also invite individuals and firms to participate as a resource. Resource participants are not required to decorate a space, but provide goods and services to the decorators. They are an integral and extremely valuable part of the process. All resources are recognized in the Show House program and are listed in the room descriptions.
Please RSVP by November 22, 2016 to Jeannine Yager-Aiello at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the entire Decorating Committee, we hope you will share your time and talents with us. We look forward to seeing you on November 29, 2016.
