The Junior League of Buffalo, in cooperation with The Buffalo News, is in the planning stages for the 2017 Decorators’ Show House. The 18th Decorators’ Show House, The August Feine House, located at 766 Ellicott St, Buffalo, New York, will be open to visitors from April 29 through May 21, 2017.
Proceeds from this biennial fundraiser will be used to fund a community project of significant impact. Previous Show Houses have raised over $3.9 million since 1981 and have funded projects such as the Hospice Education Center, Theater of Youth restoration, Buffalo Museum of Science’s Hall of Astronomy renovation, Haven House, Gerard Place, and most recently, Torn Space Theater.
Traditionally, a gift boutique has been part of each Decorators’ Show House. These boutiques have been noted for their visual appeal, variety of merchandise, and high level of profitability. The 2017 Boutique will again feature merchandise from area artisans.
The Show House Boutique Committee invites returning and new artisans to sell their work on a consignment basis. To ensure that the Boutique features a wide variety of quality items, we request that all artisans submit samples of their work for jurying by the Show House Boutique Committee. Jurying for Show House 2017 will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
If you would prefer to participate in Jurying Day through Photo Jurying, please submit color photos of your proposed merchandise so that we can review your submission. Please include the size of your merchandise on the Consignment Information Form in the Item Description area.If you are interested in submitting your work for consideration on Jurying Day, please note the following:

This form is your reservation to participate in Jurying Day. All forms must be received by Friday February 4th , 2017 in order to be considered. If you wish to participate in Photo Jurying, your photos must accompany your consigner form and these photographs will become property of the Junior League of Buffalo and will not be returned to you.
Please deliver representative samples of the merchandise you would like considered to Hospice Buffalo between 9:00 and 9:30 am on Saturday, February 11th, 2017. Upon arrival, a member of the Boutique Committee will meet you and direct to your assigned space for setting up your samples. Setup must be completed by 9:45 am. All artisans will be asked to leave at that time. Should you have large or heavy items that you would like juried, you may bring photographs of these items instead of actual merchandise. Please note that these photographs will become property of the Junior League of Buffalo and will not be returned to you when you claim your other merchandise.
All merchandise must be picked up by the artisans between 1:30 and 2:00 pm on February 11th, 2017.
All Jurying Day participants will be notified by mail of the results of the jury selection.
- The financial split between participating artisans and the Junior League of Buffalo is 60/40, with 60% of the profit going to the consignor. All artisans with merchandise for sale in the Boutique will be required to sign a Consignor Agreement.
