Junior League of Buffalo Membership Inquiry
Membership in the Junior League of Buffalo comes with many rewards including, but not limited to helping others in our community, professional training, leadership development and social networking. The Junior League of Buffalo welcomes women who are 18 years of age when she formally applies for membership, has an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service and an interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation. Upon admission in to the organization new members will complete a nine month Provisional training program. This first year training is considered a new member’s provisional year and will teach new members about the history of the organization, what we do and how we work. It will also focus on developing their skills to be successful trained volunteers within the organization and community for years to come. Member commitments to the organization vary by tier, determined by number of years of service, and include annual dues, support of organizational fund-raisers, community programs, general meetings and social gatherings.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Junior League of Buffalo! We are always looking for new women to join our growing organization. We sponsor multiple informational sessions during the summer months prior to the start of the Provisional class in September. If you are interested in learning more about the organization, please send an e-mail with your contact information to jlb@jlbuffalo.org. We will be in contact with you soon.
