Membership Requirement Change
At the September 2010 general meeting the Active Membership voted on two important membership requirements. As a result of this vote there is no longer a cookbook purchase requirement, and there is now a requirement for all Active Members to purchase an annual Junior League of Buffalo T-Shirt, currently available at www.bluebisonsports.com (select "Junior League of Buffalo" on the left panel). This new effort will both augment the operating budget and increase marketing opportunities and exposure for JLB in the WNY community. There are two styles available: a traditional "boxy" fit and a more modern women's fit. Blue Bison, a local company, will have your shirt ready within approximately 2 weeks of your online order. You may pay a shipping charge and have the shirt delivered to your home or stop by their Williamsville facility to pick up your shirt. If you haven't picked your order up by the next scheduled general meeting the shirts will be at the registration table for you to claim. The shirt must be purchased during the 2011/2012 League year, but before 4/1/2012 when dues for the coming year are payable and after which members delinquent in fulfiling commitments are contacted.
2011/2012 Junior League Straw Ballot and Placement Brochure
The 2011-2012 Straw Ballot outlines our leadership structure for the upcoming year. Please review it carefully and decide what role you are available to undertake. There will be a Placement Fair at the March General Meeting where you can sign up for a placement, or you may e-mail your self-nomination or member nomination to jlbmembership@gmail.com, or return it to Headquarters. If you have multiple choices, please indicate 1st, 2nd & 3rd choices on the form. Your placement choice(s) should be returned by March 14, 2011. The Placement Brochure contains complete descriptions of each position.
